_I find patterns very difficult to follow, so I look at something and figure my own way of putting it together. This has led me down some interesting paths and taught me some hard lessons. I have discovered that I live and breathe quilts. I see patterns everywhere and constantly break them down into simple pieces. I go everywhere with my camera and have piles of magazine cut outs all over the place. Sketches on graph paper await my return. I go to sleep with ideas and wake up with others. I am somewhat obsessed, but it is a quiet obsession. I don't talk about them all the time, I work on them every time I have space. My studio can go empty for days and then one day it will look like a bomb dropped piles of fabric all over the place. Such is the life of this quilter.
